Who is the best? They're all about the same. It comes down to who's BS you can put up with the longest. I ran for Panther for about 3 years. I would probably still be there if my co-driver could stay away from Jack Daniels.

I am looking at Eagle Freight. They "say" I can be home almost every night. We'll see.

AS FAR AS WHO IS THE BEST??? THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT DRIVER YOU TALK TO. AND WHAT KINDA OF WEEK THEY HAD. IF THEY ARE HAVING A GOOD WEEK, THEY WILL SAY THE COMPANY IS THE BEST. TURN IT AROUND THE OTHER WAY AND THEY WILL SAY IT THE OPPOSITE. SO AS FAR AS WHO'S THE BEST COMPANY TO WORK FOR. ITS ALL A MATTER OF OPINION AND VARYS FROM PERSON TO PERSON. AS FAR AS PANTHER GOES. I DROVE FOR THEM FOR 2 YEARS. NOT A BAD COMPANY TO WORK FOR. THEY JUST COULDN'T GIVE ME WHAT I WANTED. SO I MOVED ON. AND I AM HAPPY WHERE I AM AT NOW. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY AREN'T WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT EXPECTATIONS. MY SUGGESTION IS GIVE IT A SHOT. IF IT ISN'T RIGHT FOR YOU MOVE ON. BUT IF YOU ARE JUST GETTING INTO THE BUISNESS, I WOULD RESEARCH THE PROS AND CONS OF EXPEDITING FIRST AND THEN WORRY ABOUT WHO IS THE BEST. I'VE SEEN ALOT OF PEOPLE MAKE THE PLUNGE INTO EXPEDITING, ONLY TO FIND OUT IT ISN'T FOR THEM. BUT ANYWAY, GOOD LUCK WITH WHAT EVER COMPANY YOU GO WITH.

My husband and I have been driving for Panther for almost 3 years and are very pleased with them. But Neverhome couldn't of said it better. Not every company is the right company for everyone. You need to talk to as many drivers from all companies take what they have to say and apply it to your own prefrences. I like the independence that Panther gives us and the open communications that we have with management. But I hear from other drivers that they don't have the communication that we have, but I lay that on them, either their communication skills are lacking or they never made the effort. One major complaint I here is that drivers don't get home enough. That is not a problem for us we usually stay out 30 to 45 days at a time unless we need to be home for a specific reason. Our kids are grown and we love to be out on the road, so at this point home time is not that important to us. There has been a big lag time in reguards to pay but my understanding is there are some changes comming about as I type this, your recurter can fill you in as I don't have all the details as of yet.
Just do alot of research talk to alot of people not just drivers but dispatchers, accountants, lawyers, anyone who can help you set up your own business. If you have specific questions feel free to e-mail me
