Take off the cover and check the belt. See if it frayed and cut up part of the wiring harness that is directly behind that belt. The belt on the left as you face the unit.

ok thanks i checked that already and the belts and wiring is fine...any other solutions

OK, does it start at all? Is it getting fuel? The only time mine has not started is when the wiring got eaten by the belt. It also had a problem with it over heating. It would run for about 5 minutes then shut off. Had to bleed the coolant. Did you look at the computer card at the back of the unit? See what lights are lit.

look at the engine control unit behind the engine, it has a bunch of lights on it.
corresponding to different faults, none of the bottom four should be lit if things are OK

This sounds like 3 things maybe - Clogged fuel filter, broken throttle selonoid(this is right on the front, it pulls back when engine is starting and remains back while running), or bad alternator.

The alternator should have a fault light on the control box, when the alts go bad, it sends bad voltage out to the ecu which then turns off the engine.

If none of that makes sense to you, go to a carrier dealer.

okay thanks was thinking to check the alt because that light has been on filter is okay and selonoid has been changed not to long ago by previous owner so i guess i am going to check that alt may have to take it to thermo king in okc and have them check it out i think the alternator i could get any where?

From my personal experience, the in-line fuel filter could be on backwards. The APU can run for a while that way before it develops enough of a bubble in the fuel line to cause it to cut out.
