Well, at least we set a record with our PROHEAT. It worked fine for five whole weeks!!!! WOW!! Now it has developed a loud rattling noise. It sounds like bearings of some sort. Water pump or generator. What a piece of junk!!!! It is even too heavy to use as a boat anchor!!!! Considering that this thing cost more than my last used car did you would think that they would do better than this!!! Back to idling till I can get it to a shop.

Could be a loose belt. We had a shop put one on and didn't tighten it to specs and it blew out the generator.
$1800 special for a generator replacement. Blew out the bearings. Warranties can be a wonderful thing.

We stopped running it as soon as we heard the noise. We have all our work done at shops, I have NO mechcanical talent. I sure hope we did not blow up anything. Ours went out of warrenty in Jan. I would have NEVER bought this unit if I had to put one on. I bought a used truck and it was on it. It was a repo truck. I guess the prior owner went broke fixing this turkey. Way is it that something as simple as an engine with a generator is SO bad? This kind of stuff has been around for years!!! The engine is used in lawn mowers. I think they use the rejects from other places. Truckers are an easy group to rip off. Layoutshooter

Our ProHeat had a loud rattle to it and when Jim took a look at it, the only thing wrong was we lost a bolt! Hopefully that is all that happened to yours.:p:p

Scott's Truck Repair in Toledo is good on them too. That is where I get all my work done when I am home. Layoutshooter
