Possible DieselPhreak Sighting

On Friday, September 29, while travelling westbound on I-80 in Iowa I spotted a red KW with a red box and black cats. The KW was eastbound about mm 142 at 09:00. I hollered on the radio several times for the Phreak, but got no reply.

Phreak do you care to confirm this sighting? How are you and where have you been other than Ioway?

Yes, Indeed, that was us. Sorry for the lack of response, My co-driver never turns on the CB. I was sleepin in the back, but It was close, I got up around 10. We dropped in Davenport, and are now here at the Walcott T/a. Took a little vacation, and bought alot more chrome than I should have. Other than that, we've been mostly northeast, but a run to Dallas got us here. Sorry for the miss! I'll get on his case about the radio. Anybody out there sees the truck, wave a hand, and unless the curtains are up, give a knock, and we'll go catch a cup of joe.

I know, chrome don't make it go.. but it sure makes it shine!

Well, I was going to post one of the exterior, 'cause i have to install the new rosewood steering wheel before i show the inside, but I keep getting errors on the picture upload thing.

Funny you mention Mr. Snappy. We just saw eachother! We ran down 57 for a few side by side and nose to tail. I love meeting friends out here.

For a mile before he caught me, I kept telling Jbird that "I swear that chicken truck back there is an expediter." As he got closer,"No, that's the same truck as we have, I wonder if that's..." and then came a radio call for "the world famous" dieselphreak.


How did I become world famous? Why hasn't anyone told me?!!!


A beautiful ride he has. I'll be doing more lights as soon as I finish converting the truck over to LED only. That's step one. The real show piece of my truck is the interior though. As soon as i get this steering wheel on, and the train horns plumbed, I'll have pics of the inside. I have a custom visor planned, but I think a repaint of my much faded sleepr is in order first.

Well its true the DIESELPHREAK is still out there.had the pleasure of running with him down I 57 south of Effingham IL .just as i was getting a little sleepy and crossed eyed thought I was see double with all those chicken lights and that shiny truck matched the color of my eyes ,red .you had it looking good .guess I will be going home and buy some more chicken lights LOL.. Hey Moot the next time you want him to talk just yell for the world famous DIESELPHREAK he answered right away and phreak take it as a complement.maybe the next time we will have a little more time to talk.and thank you for the heads up on that dock cleared it by about 6 inches.hope you can keep runnin good and remember one thing it is better to be world famous than a than a legend in your on mind.keep it safe and anytime you have any questions feel free to ask me.

I feel your pain Moot. I've shouted at him a couple times and had no responce. But, I'm also guilty of not having the Childrens Band on very often.

Phreak, the truck's looking good. You must have broken out in a cold sweat around all that chrome at Walcott.

Allright! I get the point!! As I said, Jbird never has the Connex on. From now on which i switch out, i'm turning it on and taking the knob in the sleeper with me.

And yes, after setting foot in the new showroom, I had to sit down and catch my breath for a minute. Heaven fell to earth.....
