Idiots ... the cops don't make law, they enforce it!

Many of those same cops MAY try to enforce that law, if it makes it through the process. No use training them. At this point in time the "authorities" cannot always be trusted. I am not saying that any of them will try, but no use taking chances.

I don't see that as the smartest move. I suspect the majority of police are still the good guys. They'd be wiser to ban politicians from the range, or maybe charge them triple rate.

Could go either way. The police COULD have come out and said they would not now, or ever, enforce an Unconsituitonal law.

Could have. And maybe did go planning to do just that until they got there and found the sign saying unwelcome. The range would have been smarter to ban Obama voters or ban politicians than to ban police.
