Pointe Mouillee Waterfowl Festival

The Pointe Mouillee Waterfowl Festival and 63rd Michigan Duck Hunters Tournament will take place on September 11, 12, at the Pointe Mouillee State Game area located in Brownstown Township, MI.

I volunteer my time for this event every year. That marsh is where I got my start as a duck hunter. It is a "magic" place with tons of history.

If you are in the area and have a chance try to stop by it is a LOT of fun. You might even have a chance to "ride" a layout boat!! See the link below.

This years Festival was a great success. Large crowds both Sat and Sun. Sat could have been better had the rain not hit. We had a wonderful time.

Not much a week later, even the clean up is done!! Too bad you missed it. Now all that is left is duck season, goose season, snipe and rail season, deer season etc etc etc. That place is one of my most favorite places on this planet.
