PNV Inc. Temporarily Suspends Services

TVs in a lot of trucks will be dark tonight, and fewer
phones will ring.

PNV, Inc. -- Park 'N View -- announced on its Web site
late Thursdayafternoon it was suspending services temporarily.
Text of the short announcement issued at 4:22 pm EST follows:

On December 20, 2000, PNV Inc. filed a petition for voluntary
bankruptcyreorganization in order to facilitate the sale of
its assets. Effectivetoday, December 28th, the company has
temporarily suspended services. However, PNV.com will remain
fully operational.

As PNV works through this process, more information will be
made available. Thank you for your support and understanding
through this period.

Attempts to clarify the statement were unsuccessful. The Web announcement directed questions to the company's headquarters in Coral Springs, Fla. But there, a recording said only that all services would be shutting down in 24 to 48 hours and directed callers to try again after Dec. 29.

PNV's e-mail service was still workingThursday evening, and contents on its Web site were still available.
