Pittsfield maine....... where do ya go from here???

hey everyone..........
well im headed up to pittsfield here..........
and wondering what are some thoughts on ideas where a good spot to go ..... would be after i unload........
any pointers????

Morningstar, we've only been to Maine once this year, and DHed back down to Portsmouth, NH.
Also, we've only had 2 loads come out of NH this year. Gov load out of Nashua, and general load out of Londonderry.

Agree with Pel. There's a TA in Greenland, NH (Portsmouth). Other than that, I'd say find a nice seaside restaurant and grab a lobster sammich. :d

If anyone asks me where to go from there I usually just say "south."

Anyway, I have gotten loads out of Maine before, usually around Portland or Lewiston, and the last time I was there I got a pretty good one to Michigan. Plenty of good seafood places to hang out at while you're waiting too. I like Bob's Clam Hut down near the New Hampshire border, town called Kittery I think.

Yeah, Portsmouth is a good spot. There's a TA down there at exit 3, Greenland, NH I think it is, couple of miles south of Portsmouth. Portland isn't bad, but Portsmouth puts you within about 75 miles of a lot of freight. I've never sat in Portsmouth for more than it takes to get some sleep and get loaded right back out of there.

If you have to DH South The Big E, the New England Exposition Fair is going on in Springfield Mass. They have one of the largest collection of Team's of Draft horse's either side of the Mississippi. Fair ends this Sunday.
