Pay for an E unit "Flat Bed"

Texas Courier

Expert Expediter
Hello Out There,

Can anyone tell me what the going pay rate is for an E Unit? Keep in mind, I'm talking about flat bed trailers and Hot Shot rates not line haul rates.

If I did want to experiment with this idea, How do I charge? & What are other considerations that i need to look at?

NOTE: I already have my USDOT Authority & TxDot Authority

Thanks,

Al

I don't think you will find much flat bed information on this site. Expediting vehicles run the are anything from 1 ton cargo van to a 53 foot dry box, but you rarely hear about flatbed expediting.
E units hauling dry van or reefer units can usually generate a decent return and they are always in demand,so check in with some of the EO Advertisers on this site to get a feel for revenue.

Yep. Panther Elite Services includes flat bed. And, I've seen them on the road. Just not very many.

But, having your own authority won't work with them.

If you want lots of miles, I would suggest CRST Mallone. They are an O/O division of CRST and their trucks don't have qualcomms.

Texas Courier: As usual the info you will get here will be from inside the box, caused by years of not getting outside of it. We make a large number of flatbed expedite moves, and, there is plenty of need. Feel free to PM or email me, if you choose.
