My first O/O told me

No Parkways
Some Expressways
Yes Thruways

I wrote it down on a index card and taped to dashboard in plain sight. It took a while to remember I wasn't in a car/pick-up and the rules have changed.

You can drive on some parkways. It depends on where. I know NY and most of New England, it's a no-no, as well as Chicago. I've been on parkways in KY and TN that I remember.

Terry... that reminds me of Gallagher.

You drive on a parkway and park in a driveway. Cargo goes by ship, and a shipment goes by truck. You have a pair of pants but only one bra!

If pro is the opposite of con, what's the opposite of progress???

. It was named that in the late 1950's as it was in a "parklike" setting as it wound it's way to the north from downtown.
Highway 8 near Kitchener is the Conestoga Parkway although some call it the Conestoga Expressway.

I understand that the Ontario Government is planning on namimg Highway 405 the General Brock Parkway on October 13 this year. Highway 405 joins the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the QEW at ST.Catharines. It is a major truck route.
