Maybe I've been reading too much of the stuff in EO's Soapbox, but something happened today which I am feeling really uncomfortable with.
On Friday I shipped 2 very small shipments via courier from Canada to the USA. Done before. No problem. Next day delivery please. Value: $25. Contents: Books. Simple.
On Monday afternoon I get a call from the courier company. It's not good enough to simply state 'Books' any more. US Customs had a problem with it. They want to know 'what kind of books'.
I said, 'huh???'
Are they censoring your reading materials over there now?

Not to my knowledge BUT.....being a Kindle owner, my ears sure perked up when I read THIS last summer!!

I Wouldn't Doubt it one Bit with this Current Administration!! But I Haven't heard of any Censorship------Yet!!

Perked mine up too, being very much opposed to censorship, but as the story pointed out, that was an issue of the seller not having the right to sell the book - not an issue of censorship at all.
So Pjjjjj - what kind of books were they? And did Customs suggest categories [ie: educational, popular, etc]?
