Dear Panther Pals or any other knowledgeable party. Am I required to display a Michigan MSPC decal on my van. Every year Con-WAY sent me a MSPC decal. These were the same people that sent me IFTA decals one year. When I questioned that, they assured me it was required. Two weeks after applying the IFTA decals they wanted them back. So, do I need the MSPC decal????

As of this year the individual state stickers are no longer required. That was the bill that went into effect January. That is why no more VA, MSPC, or NY HUT stickers anymore. Also no more ssr in trucks.

No HUT stickers? why did I get one then? I think mine is for 2007.

The MPSC sticker was not issued for 2007 because of the Unified Carrier Registration system was to be in effect at the beginning of the year but didn't make it, now the last I heard was being settled for 2008 with possible solving the issues of recovering lost revenue from 2007 in the initial cost of the permit for 2008.

Michigan did plan on another permit for small delivery vehicles <26,000 which was killed off until the announced $1.6B budget shortfall so I expect any time to hear a at the border charge of $1 for every vehicle entering the state.

When I registered my truck in March, I was told that the MPSC sticker was only going to be used for trucks hauling intra-state only. Trucks with inter-state authority would no longer need it. So, you can do Mich to Mich without the sticker.

I was given a copy of a letter from New York State saying there would be no more HUT sticker. They included a registration, which they said you didn't have to keep with you. There was a reminder that mileage would still have to be reported.
