fueling up , using the restroom ,not washing their hands ,going to the fuel desk ...
and using the same pen to sign the fuel receipt ?

Yea, seeing that this is the norm in this industry did you expect anything less?

The public's idea of what a truck is seems to be reinforced by the people who are rather unkept and unclean.

This is all over, not just the trucker but the truckstop employees.

Have you watched the people at these truck stop fast food places make the food?

Subway has a great layout, I have caught a few who were not doing their job, even today the guy empties the garbage buckets out while my sub is in the toaster, and I told him change his gloves - he made some lame excuse and I repeated my 'request' very loud to get him to change his gloves.

While we are on the subject of drivers Not washing their Hands, How about the Drivers who use the Commode, Not wash their hands and go right to the Buffet using their fingers to pick through it? and the Drivers Using the Commode to Urinate in even though there's Plenty of Urinals Open, And get it all over the seat and Not Cleaning up After Themselve's. It is just a sign of how things are in general. People dress sloppy, talk filthy, and politness and curtasy are gone. I can remember when you would wear a coat and tie just to get on an airplane. Now, butt cracks everywhere, bolts in eyelids, lips and places I don't even want to know about. Young girls running around dressed in such a way that the United Hookers Union is protesting. The lack of hand washing is just another nail in the coffin of proper living. It is amazing just how far our sociaty has degraded since 1955. It is a real shame. I bet Darwin would call this "De-Evoluton". Layoutshooter

couldn't agree more Layout, it's in everything mostly the music, I was born in 1970 but will listen to the oldies anyday, it just seems like such a simpler time, not to mention it makes for great Kareoke in the truck by yourself

gracie found an article about the most commonly used items that spread disease/colds. number 1 was the counter pen to sign receipts.

And these people are raising another generation of the same type of people. I don't know how many times I've been in the restroom and watched a mother in there with her child and neither the mother or the child wash their hands afterwards. :(

I wish that not teaching hand washing was the worst thing I ever saw a "mother" teach or not teach her daughter. We once saw a "mother" yelling at her very young daughter for not stealing what ever it was she was told to steal. I bet you money that if I have "busted" that so-called "mother" in the chops for that I, not her, would have been the one to get in trouble. Layoutshooter
