OMG this group is so ridiculous! This is from an article at ActivistCash.com on PETA

Having proclaimed the life of a roaster chicken to be as valuable as that of a person trapped inside a collapsing skyscraper or imprisoned in a death camp, a murder victim, a federal worker in Oklahoma City, or an innocent Israeli civilian, PETA continues to place greater value on a dolphin than on a ship packed with American soldiers. “I don't believe that people have the right to life,” Newkirk has said. “That’s a supremacist perversion. A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy.”

In this sense, Timothy McVeigh and Osama bin Laden may be seen as heroes to PETA. By taking thousands of humans out of the food chain, they saved far more chickens and cows than they killed people.

I like your description Dakota. lol

PETA is a very SICK bunch of individuals. So is the American Humane Sociaty, not the local animal shelter groups, but the National group. They are un-related. They are fine examples of how radicals are taking control. They have been able to get hunting seasons cancelled. Wackos one and all AND both groups supported Obama. Layoutshooter

I think we need to round them all up and find them a nice deserted island with lots of animals on it and just let them live their vegan lifestyle "in harmony and peace" with the wildlife. lol Of course, their main driving force isn't actually "animal rights", it's the attention and media coverage that they get with their radical actions. They crave attention and their parents were probably radical protesters of the 60's who staged love-ins and taught their flower children all about "love" and "being free", yadda yadda yadda.

Ok, stereotypical.. but that's what they remind me of.. only more violent.

Lets be fair to P.E.T.A. and all the other groups like em out there.
After all they spend millions $'s doing what they think is right
All the time it does benfit us with lots of fish and wildlife to put on our tables:D

How does it benifit us? You lost me on that one. Stopping hunting seasons is no benifit to me. Forcing the state and federal fish and wildlife services to spend money defending solid wildlife management practices in court when fighting foolish law suits. That money should have and would have been used for useful projects. Please explain that one for me. Layoutshooter

Layout was trying be a bit sarcastic,,,
Every tree the tree hugger protects only adds to the land we may get to hunt or hid behind to ambush the next deer...etc etc....Was just being sarcastic toward them,,

Whether or not i agree with their stupid ideas,,, I do honestly believe all the land and water they try to protect(or think they are trying to protect) does aide the the production of wildlife whether or not we can access that area...

They will never stop hunting unless its on thier own lands I beleive..As far as money spend by DNR or what ever dept,,Why cant that money be recovered if its proven to be fivouils lawsuits...I think thats the fault of the courts for even hearing the cases????

Dont get me wrong I dont agree with most tree huggers at all.

I was hoping that you were just joshing. The American Humane Sociaty was the driving force in Michigan in the move that got our mourning dove season taken away. They are NOT a convervation group as the portray themselfs to be. They are mainly a group of lawyers that go around the country filing law suit after law suit, always against some form of hunting. The courts hear these cases because, for the most part at least, they are very liberal and anti-hunting themselfs. Example: the European Mute Swan. An invasive species that is doing heavy damage to the few remaining marshes in S.E. Michigan. They are displacing native waterfowl as well as having a big impact on native plant regeneration. The DNR and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service set seasons to remove these pest from the eco-system. The science is sound and proven. The Humane Sociaty stepped in and filed a suit in a Federal Court that is friendly to thier causes. They filied based on what they claim was protection under the migratory bird act. The seasons got cancelled and the damage continues. Millions have been spent trying to fight this. The plan still exsists to eleminate that swan from North America. Some efforts are taken, like DNR biologists are removing some here and there but it is not effective. SO, they continue to have native species displaced, marshes heavely damaged and all this in the name of conservation.
Most anti-hunting groups are VERY liberal, base thier arguments on emotion, not backed by science, and for the most part back liberal anti-hunting political candidates. Like Obama. These groups to more and more damage to the eco-system every year and they are gaining in power.

let me tell you a short story about P.e.t.a. People. About 20 years ago I was deer hunting on my land (posted accordingly). The time was just after day break and i was seated in my blind when I started hearing car dooors being slammed, pots and pans banged together and just outright load noise.

I was able to see (with my glasses) a group of folks standing by the road and I knew instantly who they were. After a few moments I noticed that this group started to approach and then enter my property. They proceded. What a mistake.

Little did they know that there was my 2 brother-inlaws and myself in the woods. Little did they know ( nor I ) that my wife was awaken by the noise and that she called the police.

At this point I sent a signal to my brother in laws and once we got together we came up with a plan. 2 of us started towards them while the other went around the side and he came out behind them. All 3 of us had weapons in hand. My wife came out and said the police were on there way. We kept them in a corral formation. I was P O'd and had no tollerance for this kind of folks. My wife went back in and called the police and told them what the 3 of us had done and the position we were ready to do.
Sirens in the distance heard , and seconds later the police and a DNR officer was on site.
Peta people said we threaten them with thier lives and a couple of them became real, real ****y with the officers. Big Mistake for them.

all of them were citted for tresspassing and for disturbing the peace. One of them was arrested because he spit upon an officer.
The DNR officers told me afterwards that this was not the first time he encounter this group and that a few of them had been cited several times for tresspassing. He informed me that my property was properly posted and he is out there trying to protect my rights for hunting.

These peta people are from the big cities and they come out to the "sticks" to do thier thing, thinking that we are a bunch of uneducated, untallented, unskilled Hicks. I guess me being a paramedic, & my wife a cardio vasscular lab tech fell into that sterotype... That is fine with me. I'm a country boy and enjoyed living out there.

Shortly after the incident was over we back to hunting, and within 30 minutes my one bro-in-law shot a nice 8 point.

Funny thing happened about 3 weeks later, my partner and I responded to heart attack. Upon arrival we discovered we were at a p.e.t.a. meeting. I recognized a couple of them from being on my property that day however it wasnt untill I went to start the I.V. when someone in the crowd recognized me. I told the man that he was going to feel a "prick"... yup he sure did. I cant tell you how good Im felt inside:D

Some years back I made a hat out of rabbit skins....One day this P.e.t.a. punk came up to me and she said." you wear the skin of a dead rabbit on your head?", I said yes, but that wasn't the fun part. She said "what could be the fun part?" I said Eatting the Rabbit!

They are a prime example of how wacky this country has become. So many in Michigan don't even know where food comes from that the state was forced to pass a "right to farm act" back in the mid '70's. To be so STUPID to not know where food comes froms is just beyond me. There is not one valid reason for anyone to not not know that food is grown, on farms and in the wild. Mankind is a natrual preditor and an omnivore. We belong out there hunting. It is part of nature. People have become so isolated from reality that they have lost all perspective. EVERYTHING that you eat, plant or animial was at one time ALIVE. We kill EVERYTHING that we eat prior to eating it, except yogurt which still has living cultures if it is real yogurt. Maybe people need to start reminding PETA that they are eating LIVE fruits and veggies in their vegan diet. After all, plants are living things, how could they be so CRUEL as to eat a LIVING thing? ;)

YEAH, and just remember the "other" main crime committed against plants, they all have been "reaped" LOL HEHEHE I just could not resist that. Layoutshooter
