Own Authority again

Michael would like too know if you could lease on with someone
(ie Tri-state or fedex) and still have your own authority.
Would also like too know what expected % of truck gross would
be net income before taxes.

Why would you want to have your own authority and be leased on with anyone,(tri-state or fedex) You would just be throwing money out the window. When you sign on with one of those companies, you will not be able to hull for anyonex( So if you want to waste your money then go on and get your own authority:7 You got some good feed back and good links to the pros on the authority thing, put them to good use. Remember one thing Mike-- in this business you can't have your cake and eat it too!:-(

Thank you, Tony for your insights and opinions. I have checked out the links (thanks to those who sent them) and am looking into which way to go. The reason I asked this question is that it made sense that if a company did not have a run for you, you could
get your own run if you had the Authority. They would have first shot at using you. but you had an option if they could not get you a run.
