I think he was referring to LDB's comments - which appear to have been directed at me.
FWIW, I'm not offended either ... since what is being expressed isn't reflective of my own opinion
There ya go ... a little intellectual sparring back and forth never killed anyone as far as I know.
Somewhat doubtful ... IMO of course.
Generally, I'm a fan of less rules and regulations ... and more discourse.
You know the good doctor then ?
Or otherwise know
of him ... and his
travels ?
Because my comment (that you referred to by quoting), was entirely in that context ...
LOL ... okey-dokey ...
Seems like a rather ironic statement ... given that it appears you think that I:
1. support Obamacare, and
2. support a single-payer system:
" I know where you stand on these issues and apparently we disagree."
If that is the case (that you
know), I'd be real curious to know
how you
know that ... or
how you drew that conclusion ... since I've not announced any support for either so far as I know or can recall ...
In fact, the only public statements (one of which was not on this forum but another) I've made on either of the above items that I'm aware of, in terms of support or opposition, are exactly the
opposite of what you appear to be asserting above.
Don't assume that my serving as a
proxy for someone else - by relaying their views on some matter - necessarily equals unqualified support on my part for those views.
The point of offering them up may have been simply to add to the dialog on/discussion of the issue.
Perhaps ... but it seemed to me that your premise was significantly different than mine ... and based on almost nothing that I'm aware of ... other than the fact that the guy in question had been in Russia ... and you assumed that his views were based on having "spent too much time" there ...
That got further embellished by someone else to
"spending a lot of time in Russia" ("a lot" being a fairly subjective characterization of course) ... and I don't believe that I ever characterized exactly how much time he actually spent in Russia ... so I'm not particularly sure where that's coming from either.
In any event, getting back to the OP of this thread, which seemed to be an effort to tie Obamacare to medical errors as though they might somehow be related in terms of
one causing the other ...
As was pointed out - in rather sardonic manner (correctly IMO) in the second post in this thread: medical errors have existed prior to Obamacare and they undoubtedly will not vanish as a result of it.
Just based on that post alone, it's a little hard to tell where the OP really wanted this discussion to go ... one might think that based on the article provided in the OP - which had nothing to do with Obamacare near as I can tell - that it was to be about medical errors and related horror stories ... but the titling of the thread seems to suggest other possibilities.
Perhaps the person that started the thread will provide us with further insight.
