As a Civil War buff, I really enjoyed the photos. Although Matthew Brady made invaluable contributions to Civil War photography, some of his images of dead soldiers on the battlefield were re-staged for the benefit of the camera.
The American Civil war was total war... nothing like the nearly antiseptic, pinpoint strikes common today. We don't practice full-out war anymore. The liberals will not allow it.
