Does anyone have recent experience ordering a new Sprinter? I was wondering :

1. How much deposit is required?
2. How long it takes to get delivery?
3. Is there any price bargaining?
4. Bestplace for financing,Bank, Credit Union,etc.?

And any other questions that I may have overlooked.

Thanks,
Big Al :)

Why would you order a new one wben you can get huge discounts on new 08 or 09's. You also would not have to be a Guinea pig for the new polution stuff. This past fall I saw new 08's for 10 grand off sticker.

I strongly agree with xiggi; There are a ton of 08's on the market (some with sleepers) that you can get for thousands off a 2010 - and they are the SAME vehicle. Why spend 10 -20 - or MORE when you don't have to? JMO, Jack

The OM 642 V6 engine has been comprehensively re-engineered to comply with the new Euro 5 emissions standard. It means a lot of positive things, like better fuel mileage, a 10 percent increase in max torque, and runs fine on 10% biodiesel. But, it's also new, and there are likely to be bugs here and there. With new 80's sitting on lots for deep discounts, I'd be more apt to go with an 08, shop around, get the best deal. I'd be taking a long, hard look at it, anyway.

Get to a dodge dealer, they still have a bunch of them on the lots - or did as of this morning. A few weeks ago I ran across a new 2006 3500 - no one seemed to want it.

Not saying which way to go but remember to factor in the 2010's improved fuel economy.

At 100,000 miles a year and $3/gallon for fuel, the 2010 will likely save you $1700-$1900 a year on fuel. The 2010 Emission rule engine gets between 3-4 mpg better than an 08 depending on how you drive.

Be informed and gather info from EO as well as other Sprinter websites, the more you know the better the whole process will go! Happy Shopping!

The 2010 recovers all the mileage we lost with the 07 emissions package (which in my opinion Mercedes did a horrible job with).

After talking with OVM and others with 06 and older units I was generally 3 mpg off of theirs with my 08. The 2010's bring that back. The 07-09 engines had a DPF that is way too small and has to actively regenerate far too often (which eats approx a liter of fuel each time). SCR eliminates most active re-gens as combustion can be hotter again (timing is advanced, less EGR etc) and the DPF will regenerate passively most of the time.

For us Americans who didn't learn the metric system how many
liters in a US gallon?

Also, does anyone have the optional Sprinter seat?

Type - how many liters in a gallon - in google it will tell you exactly how much. Won't even have to click a link
