Recently Jeff Jensen posted a short post thanking me for my contributions to EO for the last 5 years. Last week Lawrence and Debbi along with Jeff showed me their hospitality by treating me to a dinner along with token of their appreciation.
This was not expected or necessary. My contributions are pale in what Lawrence and Debbi along with Jeff have accomplished in making On Time Media and EO the premiere voice of the expediting industry. I have a trememdous amount of respect for the McCords in taking a large risk in their personal lives to create On Time Media. When they started this project they also had two small children to raise and educate. I am sure that in the beginning there were many sleepless nights. But they did prevail and prevail well.
These days EO is the leading internet site for the Expediting industry,occasional bumps in the road but none the less a very successful and respected voice of the industry.
I believe there are probably about 5-6000 total contractor/drivers in the US and Canada that are active in our industry. One sign of success is competition,other websites dealing with expediting have flourished briefly then have disappeared but EO continues to grow and operate in a class act.
Once again to Lawrence,Debbi and the staff,thanks for letting me play a small role in the growth of On time Media.
