Mrs. Layoutshooter and I just had a WONDERFUL diner! We had: Venison tenderloins, marinated in a mesquite flavored marinate mixed with a touch of oil and red wine. Did it on the charcoal grill. Had Portabella mushrooms, with onions, sauteed in butter, a baked potato and brussel sprouts.

I just does not get ANY better than that!

Sounds great, havent had venison in years. I grew up on wild meats and enjoyed all of it.

I just wish I had had the time to pick some morels, venison deserves real mushrooms. I so much prefer the flavor of real meat to the stuff they sell in the stores.

Breakfast will be good tomorrow and pheasant for dinner.

Life is good.

My mom used to fix morels for breakfast with a crushed cracker coating and scrambled with eggs, yum.

Now I am sitting back, basking in the glow of a fine dinner, sipping on a 'wee dram' of 12 year old Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Scotch.
