IF you drink alcohol {not beer} tipping it off with a half glass of Olive Oil really reduce the effect of Alcohol. {the Alcohol wont vapor in the stomach, because it is coated with oil}{it will make for an interesting after party fart's though...}
it will also greatly reduce munchies.

An interesting bit of trivia. In roman times olive oil was used for so many things and considered precious enough that if you cut down an olive tree it was punishable by death.

You don't need THAT much olive oil. however, substituting it for as many things as you'd use an oil for, is probably good.

Another oil to use is coconut oil. It must be cold processed and pure, but it is actually quite good for you. It is solid, but melts above 80 degrees or so. Another oil very high in things you need is "red palm oil". It is semi-solid at room temperature, it is NOT a high temperature oil, but it's chemistry AND the things in it are very good for you. Red palm oil will stain things yellow. Warm it a little and drizzle on popcorn to give the old fashioned theater popcorn effect (clear down to the color and smell). DO NOT ever use microwave popcorn. What's in it is just flat out horrifyingly bad. Make your own, pop it in coconut oil.

NEVER smoke any oil. If it smokes, it is oxidizing, and the broken down oil could be defined as "near poison". Red meats contain saturated fats, which are the worst of all worlds.

For a "non cooking" oil, like for making salad dressings, a far better option than even olive oil is to use flaxseed oil. Flaxseed oil MUST be refrigerated constantly just to stop it from going rancid, however, it, too, is one of the best things you can eat these days.

For cooking, pure olive oil works better than virgin or extra virgin because it has a much higher smoke point. I like to sauté asparagus in a cast iron skillet using pure olive oil and a high temperature.

Use the virgin and extra virgin olive oil for salads, breads and when you feel the need to rub the hot front part of your head with rigid unguents.
