Not a good idea to bring back old post just cause you can. You're going to be confusing a lot of newbs and ppl like me who were surprised to see Tom Robertson and Glen Rice popping up to post again.

Old posts are there to look at; and possibly brought up to answer a question by a newb for clarification.

Gramma's girdle would be hillarious to find in the attic; but I wouldn't put it on the mantle. ;)

Had me confused. I liked Aviators post so much, I gave him a reputation approval by clicking on the scale next to his cloud. He deserved a kudo then, and does so now.

Does anyone know how Aviator is doing and where he is at? He really had some great posts.

Here's an idea, Goodtude...

Start a title like "Remember this?" Then post a link to said thread; and maybe a quote or two that you particularly liked... like the Parrot Skit. :)

That happens with thread bumps. Many forum boards have rules, or even software that makes it so, that you cannot reply to a thread if it is older than xx days. I'm thinkin' it's probably a good idea for here, too.

That wouldn't be any fun..
Cause if that were the case some folks wouldn't have anything to cry about:rolleyes:

Here's an idea: a new forum, for threads that we think are going to be classic. There's already a tab for rating threads, so maybe we could make use of it, and if a thread gets enough high ratings, (to be determined by Lawrence or Dreamer), it becomes a classic.
I know the archives are full of golden oldies, but I can rarely remember the names of my old favorites :( or when they were posted....

Maybe, but it mainly just wastes time.

So does taking pictures or listening to some old music but it can be enjoyable for some (don't believe me look at the responses).
My "sophomoric shenanigans" aren't meant to annoy you by design (although a definite bonus) but to lighten the mood, a crime even you are guilty of on occasion.
Some warm responses about members no longer with the game maybe a fond memory or two of experiences long forgotten...
No one was hurt here.
So lighten up ole sour puss:D

Taking pictures or listening to old music is a solitary activity. It may or may not be enjoyable to those you force (or dupe) into viewing those pictures, or made to listen to the old music just because you find it enjoyable.

(don't believe me look at the responses).
You mean like the one that said, "Not a good idea to bring back old post just cause you can."? Or the one that said, "Can get confusing, indeed."? Got it.

Last thing I'd do is get some kind of warped joy out of annoying someone unintentionally. Intentionally is another thing, though.

I'm all kinds of lightened up, thanks. But, why get personal here? A bonus for you if it annoys me, and then telling me, specifically, to lighten up? None of my posts in this thread, until now, were directed to anyone in particular. I merely stated my thoughts on the bumping of old posts, that's all. If that annoys you, well, then I'm sorry. It certainly wasn't intentional.
