OK where are you?

I am sort of really angry tonight. For some ungodly reason representative Dennis Kucinich seems to have been another democrat to trash the troops and the US by visiting a country who openly supports terrorism and openly saying that the war was based on lies and deceit.

On the heels of the Moveon.org ad in the NYT, it was expected to hear some support of the ad from Hillary and/or Obama but it was the Kucinich who seems to have come out in supporting the far left’s position of hate and contempt for the troops.

Disaffection and treason both come to mind for the comments that he made on Syrian TV, nothing short of a clear disaffection with the US. There is no issue of first amendment rights, there is no consideration that he was acting through proper channels to accomplish something – neither of them apply to his or anyone else for that matter when they remove themselves off of US soil and against the request of the State Department who is trying to maintain diplomatic channels with a hostile country.

Remember that Syria supports terrorism openly and sent a lot of people over to Iraq to kill Americans - both troops and contractors.

His statement about not going to Iraq to see the troops is a clear indication of his contempt for the troops, coupled with the fact that he was clear in his opinion that we should pay the Iraqis for the damage we did to the country.

In his other comments speaking to a crowd of 150 Syrian people he said "Strength through Peace turns the neoconservative doctrine of Peace through Strength on its head. The neo-cons' Peace through Strength, has led to unilateralism, military build up and illegal war." Kucinich continued to say "Strength through Peace favors the upholding of international law, treaties and direct engagement, which is why I am here"

I want to know will his fellow democrats condemn him? Most likely not. I can not see the party that could support terrorism – which silence is condoning these actions – as a party that will make us safe.

So applying the same silence from people who elected him, I also assume that the people of his district also support terrorism.

I honestly think the people need to get smart about this stuff because this is all allowing the terrorist to get stronger.

Oh one last thing, we truly have forgotten the lessons of 9.11 and the losses are now just a footnote.

Some people should be summarily removed from the gene pool as quickly as possible, Kucinich being one of them.

Back in the early 60's I remember seeing a sign as I entered an Air Force Base.

It read, "Arms For Peace."

Things were stable back then.

Then the mood of America changed and the signs were replaced with a new sign that read, "Peace Is Our Profession."

Enter Vietnam, Panama, Nicaragua, Grenada, Gulf War I, USS Cole bombing, numerous US Embassy attacks, World Trade Center attacks, Afghanistan, Gulf War II, etc.

Guess what it says on my gun locker?

Arms For Peace!

Somehow, the idea of flashing the peace sign at terrorists or handing them a flower does not seem as though it would strike fear into their countenance, but looking down the barrel of a 44 does!

I TRULY ECHO YOUR SENTIMENTS. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY? I BELIEVE ITS THE POT SMOKIN DRAFT DODGING ACID DROPPING GENERATION THAT HAS THINGS SO SCREWED UP. THEY NEED TO GET OUTA THE 60s/70s AND TAKE A GOOD REALITY CHECK. THERE WAS A TIME WHEN OUR POLITICAL PARTIES ALWAYS HAD THERE DIFFERENCES BUT THEY DID SHARE ONE THING IN COMMON, LOVE OF COUNTRY. IF YOU LOOK NOW AT THE ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (MOVE ON DOT.ORG, ACLU, THE EXTREME HOLLYWOOD LEFT AND OTHERS) IT MAKES WE WONDER HOW AND WHY THESE PEOPLE BECAME THIS WAY.MY TWO SONS JOINED THE MILITARY AFTER 911 BOTH WENT OVER TO IRAQ AND FOUGHT FOR CAUSE THAT THEY BELIEVED. IN. WHEN WILL OUR FAR LEFT AMERICA HATING LIBERAL DEMOCRATS COME TO THAT SAME CONCLUSION. WE ARE AT WAR WITH GROUP OF RADICAL MUSLIN EXTREMEST THAT WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.THESE PEOPLE CONSIDER THEMSELVES THE CHAMPIONS OF FREE SPEECH, PROTECTOR OF OUR LIBERTIES BUT YET THEY WANT TO CUT AND RUN AND GIVE MORE PROTECTION TO THE SAME PEOPLE THAT WANT TO KILL US AND TAKE ALL OF OUR RIGHTS AWAY

Remind you of someone in the 60s & 70s? (Here is a clue) Hanoi Jane.
I may not agree with the police action in Iraq but I DO SUPPORT THE TROOPS. As they are only doing their job. When you are "Government Issue" you do as you are told! God Bless America. Close the borders, throw out ALL illegals and BRING BACK THE MILITARY DRAFT.

"...and BRING BACK THE MILITARY DRAFT"

Not a true answer to our problem. Plus, most of the military establishment doesnt really support a draft either. I am retired military and disagree with bringing back the draft. The prime reason I disagree is the same reason most of the military disagrees. As in any workforce...you do not want anybody there that doesnt really want to be there. Those forced to be there will (in most cases) detract from what is going on than contribute something positive. We have enough discipline problems with volunteers. I would hate to see how bad it would be if the military was loaded with grudging commitments.

No, I was not drafted. There is only one super power now. Even during the old days when it was us and the Soviets...we had them "chasing us". We had the people, the equipment, and the know how to beat them with an all volunteer military. The Soviets had their strong points. But, they knew the key was air power. Their best pilots hoped they never had to face American aircraft. Once you control the sky...it is much easier to control the ground.

Airpower? Lets see we got our a-- handed to us in NAM. We had superior air power. WWII the Germans had far superior air power for most of the War. We are going to lose in Iraq and we have the only airpower. The last war we won was WWII. The reason? We let our military do the planning not politicians and you can't fight wars at the ballot box. The last great generation was called that for a reason. War is a horrible thing. Al- Quieda (sorry about the spelling) done something to us that the Germans, Japanese or the Russians couldn't do and that is come to the mainland and kill 3000 of our people. Airpower is nice but a country full of proud, strong not afraid to fight for your country people trumps technology everytime. All Wars are won and lost on the ground in the end. The last people that had the guts to do this where the last great generation and unfortunately most of them are gone. God Bless America,Close the Borders and Bring Back The Military Draft. It saddens me to say this but this country is imploding caused by GREED and the Loss of the FAMILY UNIT. Thank You for reading my Rant. I will shut-up now. :)

True, but I would still want to control the sky before I attempted to do anything else. May not guarantee success, but...its a start.
