Obamania

I really got to ask this and I hope someone can at least come up with a reasonable intelligent answer.

I watched this morning the application of something that many call 'herd behavior' (Wilfred Trotter, 1914) and many don't understand or realize that it is happening. I think that people with their hysteria and emotion when Obama takes the stage is staged like many of the Beatles concerts and appearances where they had hired seeds (kids hired to scream and act nutty) all for the effect of getting people on board.

So I ask, what accomplishments has Obama made since he has been a senator to actually indicate that he would make anything of a president?

Greg,

Do you mean the 7 times, in 7 different cities, that 7 different people have felt faint and Obama the saviour has stopped his speech to give them a bottle of water were all staged? Those were all plants? A scam to make him look good? Really? And all this time I thought he was such a JFK like presence that people just swooned.

Don't for a minute think he's the first candidate to have daffodils in the audience.

Wonder if the mainstream media will pick up on these hired swooners? I'm still waiting for the media to conduct a serious examination of the qualifications of both Obama and Hillary.

He was smarter than most up there. He didn't vote for this useless war. He didn't fall for the lies that sling shots were weapons of mass destruction. Didn't take much to fool the rest though.

You probably have a point. It is show business.
However, is this worst than Bush banning people who may not agree with him?

Why don't you just get someone you can support, and talk about them?

You know it is all about show business, it has nothing to do with the candidate, the issue or his ability to lead. This is why I am asking.

I have searched and found nothing he really did to speak of on the state or federal level. I am still waiting to hear his accomplishments, but truthfully he fell into the senate seat just like Wilson fell into the governorship of New Jersey. After reading the events that took place, it was like reading a spy novel.

However, is this worst than Bush banning people who may not agree with him?

When did bush ban anyone? Are you talking about that reporter who falsified his credentials to get access to the WH pressroom? I don't agree that the guy should even had the right to complain, the same with Helen Thomas, she should just fade away.

Also just an FYI, Bush has ever right to put the editors of the NY times and other news papers on trial as traitors for printing secrets. These guys should face execution for what damage they did. The first Amendment does not afford them the rights to print top secret information nor does it mean that they are above the law. He has for all intent and purpose been vilified more than any other president, including Nixon in the press and has done nothing to stop the press. AND another FYI, the two presidents who were really damaging to the press was democrat presidents, Wilson and FDR. If it was up to them, they would have thrown out the first amendment and replaces with pure evil censorship.

Why don't you just get someone you can support, and talk about them?

I can't find anyone, that's the problem. There is not a real candidate standing up there. I can't support McCain, Hillary is my last choice of a vote but the more I read about Obama, the more I think he is wrong about things.

How could he vote for the war, he wasn't a senator. You know you got to stop blaming the US and Bush for the war and blame Carter and the UN. The UN set the mandate, we carried it out - so what. With the up and coming war in the Balkans, I say let the US sit it out, they have been fighting for 400 or 500 years, why shed our blood to ensure liberty and freedom. Let's pull out of NATO, the EU is building an army to fight who ever.

As far as WMD, ok let's take the canisters they found which was confirmed to contain Sarin nerve agent and forget about them. It seems that the UN won't confirm anything that we found as legitimate because of Cofi Anan's position that it was an illegal war to cover up what his son and his friends were doing with the 'oil for food' money. Whats worst, having a president go to war over an mandate or the UN's corruption continue?

Im just glad the fat lady is just about to sing Hillary's song. LOL Oh yeah, somebody mentioned WMD. There is NO doubt Sadam Insane had WMD at one time and showed 0 to indicate that he was willing to let them go. He refused to cooperate with the UN all the way until the end. I know I wouldnt have assumed he got rid of them in secret. I personally believe he got rid of them in the weeks prior to our invasion. But, that cant be proven or disproven.

Hussein and WMDs? Of course he had them - ask the Kurds! Other hard evidence of stuff like nerve gas has come out over the past several years, and has been ignored by the media. Just think back - the Bush administration piddled around FOURTEEN MONTHS with threats before going in there. You think he might have had enough time to get rid of whatever he didn't want found? Reminds me of when I was a teenager and my parents told me they better not catch me with certain items in my room. If they had given me even fourteen hours warning before coming in I most certainly could have gotten rid of the cigarettes and Playboy magazines.

About the only good thing I can find about Obaman is that the Reverend's Jessie and Al have to be poed big time because they are no longer are getting the newsprint and the publicity that they need to keep their financial coffers full.

Being a 3rd party observer here...I highly suspect the US knew what and how much he had because they sold it to him. Way back when Saddam took on Iran. How would they know to the pound what he had? Thats why also Bush was so certain to go to war.

Seems like the US did sell them weapons, but not nerve gas. Hard to imagine the uproar in the media if it was discovered Uncle Sam was peddling WMDs to sworn ememies of Israel. According to the article in the link listed below, the delivery systems (planes and artillary) and the gas canisters were of Russian or French design. This was from 2004, and the discovery of these shells went largely ignored by the mainstream media. The article is pretty short, and is a good refresher on the WMDs we know they had.

I hadn't heard anything of him since a few months ago he popped up and announced his candidacy. I have made my decision on Ron Paul. He seems most concerned with the economy and financial well being of the citizens. Being poor myself  I think he will do the best for me. Not to mention also his position on social security, health care and energy bodes well for the pocket book.
