The entire peace prize thing is a JOKE!! IF it was REAL Carter would have to give his back, there is NO peace in the Middle East, which was why he got his payoff. It would have been VERY interesting if the DaliLama(sp?) would have won, HE IS a man of peace. He is NOT a political joke and has ALWAYS in his adult life preached and acted one way. Much like Sister Teresa. TRUE peacemakers. Not peacemakers for profit and glory. Sad times we live in.

When you look at the entire process, who the players are and what they really do, it makes sense to have him win something that is so undeserving.
So far he really hasn't done a thing, and I see another Carter style middle east problems on the horizon.
The sad thing is, there were others, even Clinton for that matter who did more for Middle East Peace. But as several people here in this area have said, until the US gets the H*ll out of the peace process and let things work themselves out as they did for thousands of years, we will never see a peace of any sort.
I wonder if they will give him a prize for his economic policies?
Oh and does he keep the money or is that something that belongs to the people of the United States, seeing he is doing the job of the people?

Other than traveling to a few locations around the globe for eight months apologizing for past American behaviour in flowery speeches that somebody else wrote, what exactly is extraordinary? And what exactly are the results - if any - that have actually been accomplished?

Now THAT is funny!! The entire thing was a set-up. The PuppetMaster at work again!!! Funny how MOST Peace Prize winners are Left Wing Wackos!! What makes it even funnier is that the LEFT is responsible for over 100 million MURDERS and MOST of the wars last century. I guess it is only peace when THEY say it is.
Shoot, he had not even done that yet, he had to be nominated in Feb. The fix was in right from the start.

I wonder if he is in the running for the "Nobel ECONOMIC Award" for all that he has done to make a mess of things in our economy......It would make about as much sense.....
I also wonder. Let's say that he does as "Rocket" says he should and turns it down. Is that an "Honest" move because he REALLY feels that he did nothing to earn it, OR, would it be just part and parcel of the plan? You know, give him the prize, it there is too much hubbub about how stupid it is to give it to him let him refuse it and therefore make himself look "cool" either way? Cynical, eh?
Uhm, like, it's a $1.4 million prize.
