There's really no reason to release them, especially if they are as gruesome as people are saying. All it will do is incite further anger from Muslim wackos, and from the other wackos who will say it's been Photoshopped.
I think it would be funny, tho, if they released it with just a snotload of Photoshop layers.

I think the American people deserve to see the pics if they wish to. He's quoted as saying that Bin Laden "is not a trophy"....really????......then what would be the reason for the trip to ground zero tomorrow.....isn't that a "victory lap" for Obama...and given that comment, can we expect that he and the dems WON'T be using this for political gain?

I agree. The pictures should be released to stop any conspiracy nuts from running off at the mouth and prove to those that say he is still alive that he is dead. Not to mention the countless fakes that will show up on the internet.
Gruesome??? How much more gruesome than watching those that jumped from the WTC on 9/11, the beheading of Americans on the internet, and the list goes on.
For my part, I would have thrown what was left of him on the nearest landfill and let the rats have him, but that's just me.

I do think that at least one genuine picture will be released (or leaked, intentionally or unintentionally) eventually. Unless, of course, al Qaeda demands the release. Then it'll never happen. Al Qaeda's been pretty quiet about it, tho. They know he's dead.
As for the Dems using this for political gain... that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. If the Republicans were in the White House, they would, too. Bush certainly got his money's worth out of 911.
I don't care what it is, if it can be used for political gain, it will be, by both parties. That's why it's called politics.

A point of view has been expressed by several pundits that it was clearly stated by the BHO administration that the reason for making a direct assault on the compound was to make sure of the identity of the target(s). It would stand to reason that the next logical step would be to release the photos, just like they did of Saddam and his bullet-riddled sons. Considering the disinformation that had been spread through the media in Iraq, there was no other way to convince the population that these maniacs were dead and were not going to pop up out of the desert to start killing and maiming again. Add to that the fact that there have been other high ranking Al Queda leaders killed and subsequent pictures of their carcasses published with no noticeable backlash.
Since my crystal ball has failed me so many times already, there's nothing more to lose in sharing the most recent reading: it's telling me the pictures will be leaked anyway. Then Barack Hussein Obama will be able to claim he did his best keep them from public view, but was foiled by some scoundrel in the Pentagon and plans to round up the usual suspects (who will never be found).
The reasoning for the above unfounded speculation is that having any politician standing in front of the cameras saying "Trust me, he's dead" is simply not good enough for either the American public or the islamofacist wackos. Add to that the statements from some of the Congressional members claiming to have been shown fake pics by the White House, the confusion will have to be addressed one way or another.

Yes I have noticed it on tv and radio. A person will mean to say Usama and say Obama instead.The names are simular and the commentator will mix up the names. Rush Limbaugh does it accidently about once a day. I know they are doing it by accident but how does someone mix up the two? One is a deceased evil terrorist and the other is a socialist/Marxist U.S. president.
