Obama guilty

The whole ordeal sounds like a Government created cluster fudge over a ridiculous law passed for political gain. On the other hand your name calling of the President and liberals sounds like a 12 year old's rant.
The companies claims sound suspicious:

The gun company hired the 41 people before their deal went through with Korea.
A purchase deal that depends on a Government exemption to a current law is very risky.
Blaming the layoffs of those 41 people on the failed deal does not make any sense.
Did they hire these workers ahead of time with the plan to pay them from a risky deal that wasn't even completed? No company should place the jobs of 41 people in jeopardy over one deal. If so, it is a fail on their part and there is more to the story.

I never used the word liberal and the president is a moron. There are no suspicious claims. The deal was approved until the WH intervened and quashed it. Whether it is very risky, or equally risky to any other business venture, is a matter of opinion. Blaming the layoff on the failed deal makes complete sense. The deal was approved. The company had a certain number of employees based on the approved deal. When the WH withdrew the approval at the last moment they couldn't keep all the employees. The blame is on the morons who have no clue whatsoever about these particular rifles and whose hatred of guns and gun ownership trumps everything else.

"I never used the word liberal."
That's funny, right there.
Say "Dumber than dirt liberal morons" to any EO member who reads the Soapbox, and whose name pops into their head?
Contrary to your assertions, we do need liberal ideas. And we need conservative, and independent, and progressive - we need, in short, all the ideas we can get. And then, we need to discuss them like adults, with reason, leaving emotion and sarcasm out of the discussion [as much as possible].
We need representatives who want to find solutions, rather than finding fault, sigh.

Obama and his regime are guilty of abject stupidity. Only a dumber than dirt moron could make the arguments they've made.

Oh, I've correctly identified liberals in the past and will do so again in the future I'm sure. I was staying on topic of this thread and what it actually says. Even the blind squirrel finds a nut once every few thousand times so one could argue we do need the thousands of ridiculous liberal ideas for that one hen's tooth good idea they accidentally have.

We're better off in nearly every way compared to 2008. If Obama is dumber than dirt as you say, let's hope the next Prez is even dumber. Wait! Wait! Wait! Hold on a second. Logic error detected. W was our last President and he's the poster child for, well, you know. Your conclusion that Prez Obama is lacking intellect is obviously wrong.

Is the constitution stronger that it was 6 years ago? Yes it no?

Yeah, we're way better off, what with gasoline averaging $3.75 or so compared to the $1.90 it was then and with unemployment well into double digits when properly counted compared to single digit then. And the list goes on.

Yep, $3.85 and higher in Michigan. Over 3 yrs continuously plus 3 dollars or more nationally. Unemployment for blacks and Hispanics is higher. Food stamps and Social Security disability claims higher. Have you checked our southern border lately ? It's a disaster.

You're right. An economy in free fall does bring lower prices. :)

But hey, while googling gas price history, I found something you guys might like.

What about when the economy was doing better under Bush? Was the average price of gas cheaper than now?

When Obama took office the average price of a gallon of regular was $1.89. It is double that now and has been under his failed administration. Unemployment is insanely high but they have altered the reporting method to take at least half the unemployed people out of the report.

Bush wasn't at all great. He was a C-/D+ sort of guy. Obama is only an F because there's no such thing as an F-. Obama fanboys will still blindly praise the man and claim great things for him. Those with their eyes open don't idolize Bush (either one of them) and see Obama for the abject failure he is.

I wouldn't say he is lacking in intellect, but he sure is lacking in any positive results. As far as whether we are better or worse than 2008, that would depend on what you are looking at.

Could you point out some of those ways? I guess one could say less people in the work force, higher health costs, higher unemployment, higher taxes, nearly open border, gun walking etc are all good things if one wants to view them as such.

Cheri I'm not sure about the more ideas. I think part of the problem is all the politicians and department heads think they have to come up with new ideas which all equal more money. I think what we really need is a lot less ideas from all sides

Now that you mention it, I would look forward to all the ways Americans are better off today. Could be interesting.

The president has no control over the price of a gallon of regular, or diesel, or of a barrel of oil. Obama doesn't, Busch didn't, none of them have. No matter how hard you try and make it seem like a president has control over the price of oil, or can even influence it a little bit, they don't and they can't. We've been over this already.

After reading the Fox News link I thought Fox may have obtained this piece from the Onion. To me, following up a proper name with the word "Arms" conjures up images of a skid row hotel. So I did a little fact checking. Very little. First stop was www.scopes.com. All I found here was that nobody makes scopes to fit these antique M1s.

The Convoluted Conservative, [email protected], had this: "The sole purpose of the Century Arms deal to import the antique and cumbersome M1 rifle is to refurbish and resell them. The company plans on replacing the standard stock with a tactical carbon fiber stock, shorten the barrel and add high definition, blue ray laser, day/night tactical optics. An open carry group in Texas has already placed an order for 200 of these repurposed rifles."

The Libel Liberal, [email protected]. "President Obama blocked the re-importation of these dangerous automatic weapons to prevent them from falling into the hand of Irish street gangs in Springdale, Arkansas. Our comrades in North Korea are in desperate need of these guns."

I just don't know who to believe.

The phones are much better! :)

Off the top of my head:

The economy continues to heal.

Fewer Americans are getting killed every day in misguided wars.

We don't have "terror threat level orange" nonsense to put up with anymore. Remember that farce? Fascist tactics to keep a population off balance and gullible is all that was.

A (somewhat) restored sense of national honor. Torture is beneath us.

A (slightly) more optimistic view of the future as alternative fuels are finally gaining traction. (optimism tempered by knowledge that we've already f-ed the planet up and it will take a long time to heal).

And finally, the GOP is about done for the foreseeable future. Watch the flip-flopping in 2016 as they serve the needs of the Koch brothers and big oil to keep the campaign contributions coming in while trying their best to appeal to the middle, the vast majority of which is now convinced that climate change is happening and they've been lied to and mislead by conservatives. I can't remember ever seeing a political party with such baggage.

We're much better off today, and it keeps getting better.
