Obama cares nothing about the children

The Charlatan in Chief put on his big show today, passionately calling for many changes all for the sake of and because of the love and concern over "the children". Bovinefeces. That arrogant, pompous narcissist couldn't care less about "the children". If he truly cared anything at all he would denounce and call for a total prohibition on partial birth abortions as well as many other abortion procedures that he fully supports. He cares nothing about anyone or anything other than his personal agenda, in this case moving to disarm citizens to make them better subjects.

Sorry, Dave's was 100% correct and mine far closer to reality than you may want to believe.

Obama has access to TONS of classified documents. That intel was produced by people who passed very stringent background checks. Mine initial background check took over 10 months to be completed. When I got mine for NSA they had to send agents to EVERY duty station I was at in the Army, including Japan, to investigate me.

Obama, with his past drug use etc, could NEVER pass that background check. It would also be unlikely that he could pass with many of his past associates.

As to passing a background check to exercise one's rights, why do the Democrats fight verification of citizenship for voting registration and yet want to force native born citizens to get PERMISSION from the government to take advantage of our RIGHTS? RIGHTS that the government can neither grant nor rescind?

I have LONG contended that we need to amend the Constitution to require criminal and security background checks for ANYONE running for a political office that would allow access to classified documents.

I have no problem with this, However, the constant comparison to Hitler just irks me to no end.

I respect anybodys right to oppose any politicans position on any issue, but to compare Obama to Hitler is not oppisition.

We have way too much crap that's classified. We have some departments and agencies that classify every single scrap of paper they generate, where probably 99% of it should never be classified in the first place. It's ridiculous.

Top Secret and Secret classifications are supposed to be reserved for information which could prove to be seriously or gravely damaging to national security, but far too much gets classified as such just to prevent embarrassment to those doing the classifying. The famous April, 1947 Atomic Energy Commission memo from Colonel O.G. Haywood, Jr. to Dr. Fidler at the Oak Ridge Laboratory in Tennessee illustrates that very mentality that has entrenched itself into our federal government today, which the Wikileaks leaked "classified" documents only reinforced. The famous memo:

“It is desired that no document be released which refers to experiments with humans and might have adverse effect on public opinion or result in legal suits. Documents covering such work field should be classified `secret’.”

No mention of seriously or gravely damaging to national security. It's to prevent embarrassment, and having to take responsibility for their actions. Requiring background checks on elected officials is the least of our problems. Americans have a right to know what the government is doing on their behalf or in their name, except in exceptional circumstances. A functioning democracy requires the people to hold their government to account. Accountability, in turn, requires knowledge about government activities. We're not getting that.
