How nice. I sure don't want to here anyone whining about the disgusting things that the Taliban do AGAIN. They lend an entire new meaning to the term "nose job". Where are all the "women's rights" groups? Well, girls don't need to read anyway.

Oh but let's put this into another point of view, where is congress and especially the people on this matter?

I don't see the news talking about what happened In Afghanistan Saturday, but all kinds of stuff to remember what we're there for fighting.

We seem to worry about this and not ask the question - what in the hell are we doing?

MMMM, correcting the mistakes we made in the '80's that lead to the Taliban takeover and that lead to the location of terrorist training camps there?

Thanks t, but I didn't see a thing on the news or radio, just the 9/11 stuff. I guess the war is over and the taliban is going to open up fast food joints in Kabal.

The Taliban will likely kill anyone who tries to eat fast food. Mass executions in the arena, AGAIN. Good guys.

I have contacted the Michigan Baptist Headquarters for Missionaries. They are sending 200 of their own to have Church and Sunday School for the lost Taliban souls. This should end the war in about 15 minutes or start a new one.lol

Nope wasn't giving any of that stuff the acknowledgment that they were seeking by watching any of it. It seemed the programming of that day was lopsided between the 9/11 stuff and everything else with everything else winning.

I did not watch anything on 9/11. In fact, I did not watch any news at all this entire weekend. It was WONDERFUL!! I spent the weekend enjoying life, the outdoors and good friends as I have done for years. Proof that the attackers on 9/11 did NOT win!

But they did win, they won big time and it seems our arrogance has proven we can't see it or deal with it.
That depends on how you define "win". If it means they created a lot of inconveniences in our everyday lives (mostly for air travelers), a lot of additional expenses for national security measures, and increased stress levels for certain segments of our society, then it could be called a victory in changing the way we live our lives. I'm not sure if that could be considered a "big" victory, however.

On the other hand, we've made them pay a high price as well. They don't have the comfort zones that they used to enjoy while being mostly ignored during the Clinton administration, and we've certainly disrupted their operations and finances - to say nothing of the numbers killed outright. For security reasons, a lot of our accomplishments (or victories) go unreported in the press. Don't think it's just plain luck that we haven't had another major attack on our soil during the past 10 years. On balance, I just don't see the "big victory".

They might have won in YOUR mind, not mine. I still do as I please, go where I want, hunt fish and work at my pleasure.

I believe that OUR government is a much greater threat to my freedoms than those "terrorists" are. I believe that the more extreme right or left our government becomes, right now we are WAY to the left, the more dangerous they are. A "terror act" could "kill me". Our government can "enslave me". Enslavement is FAR worse than death.

The only way to stop these acts and terrorism, in general is to boot out all the Neocons who favor the interventionist policies that incited it in the first place. We need a much stronger Paleoconservative presence in Washington that puts securing our own borders ahead of issues that are oceans away.

You just gotta love how some write so often about our rights under the coustitution.yet they at the same time seem to give up so easy.
