:confused: Is this guy for real :confused:

This persons comment couldn't be anymore accurate:

Dradeeus — 9/23/11 3:09pm ...So wait...
...So wait....
...Wait.

Embracing Republican ideas on not regulating guns is actually.. a liberal conspiracy.
......I sorta miss Glenn Beck. His conspiracies were nonsense, but way more thought went into them.

You just can't please some people.

In the eyes of National Rifle Association (NRA) executive vice president Wayne LaPierre, President Barack Obama's decision not to pursue gun control legislation is a "massive conspiracy," and just another reason not to give him a second term.

"[The Obama campaign] will say gun owners -- they'll say they left them alone," LaPierre told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Friday. "In public, he'll remind us that he's put off calls from his party to renew the Clinton [assault weapons] ban, he hasn't pushed for new gun control laws... The president will offer the Second Amendment lip service and hit the campaign trail saying he's actually been good for the Second Amendment."

"But it's a big fat stinking lie!" the NRA leader exclaimed. "It's all part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and destroy the Second Amendment in our country."

"Obama himself is no fool. So when he got elected, they concocted a scheme to stay away from the gun issue, lull gun owners to sleep and play us for fools in 2012. Well, gun owners are not fools and we are not fooled," La Pierre declared.

"Sotomayor, Kagan, Fast & Furious, the United Nations, executive orders. Those are the facts we face today... President Obama and his cohorts, yeah, they're going to deny their conspiracy to fool gun owners. Some in the liberal media, they are already probably blogging about it. But we don't care because the lying, conniving Obama crowd can kiss our Constitution!"

Gun control advocates have criticized the president for not pushing for new gun control legislation in the wake of a January shooting that left Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) in serious condition and six others dead.

Obama hates guns. Democrats controlled Congress. They hate guns too. Where's the rhetoric? I see what the guy is saying. I believe they toned down the rhetoric to take ammo away (pun intended) from those like the tea party. In light of the recent SC victories against gun control, the Dems are currently out of ammo (pun intended again) on the issue. Pulling the trigger now (WHOA NELLIE!) on any rhetoric will really screw them come election time.

For one, I never claimed it was a conspiracy. It LOOKS LIKE, to me, that it is a dead issue, likely to enflame voters, if brought up. Therefore, they aren't touching it. More likely, they will wait until something like a school shooting, or a congresswoman gets shot, to bring it up again...

Obama To Unveil Gun Control Reforms In Near Future

...Or, bring it up in a UN treaty, controlling how weapons are sold and traded. The fear was that this would include those sold or traded within our own borders...

...Or this, from a group who call themselves "Blue-steel Democrats", from back in '07...

Blue Steel Democrats: Senator Obama's Position on Gun Ownership Rights

The guy has continually stated his position on the issue. Being an NRA advocate is a losing proposition in Chicago politics; so I'm guessing he learned to HATE GUNS there. Then, he went on pushing bills, such as one in 2000, to limit handgun purchases to one per month, which he co-sponsored. Prior to that, he "sat on the board of a Chicago-based foundation that doled out at least nine grants totaling nearly $2.7 million to groups that advocated the opposite positions." When his words conflict each other, go to who he associates with. More...

Not a "conspiracy" it is more of a "ploy". Lull the uninformed into thinking one thing and the "spring the trap" on them later.

Obama voted YES, in IL, on a bill that would have outlawed EVERY semi-automatic hunting shotgun sold in the US. It was IL SB1195. That bill mirrors a law championed by the left and this administrations so called justice department. Obama has no use for the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, not just the Second Amendment.

Illinois General Assembly - Full Text of SB&DocNum=1195&GAID=3&LegID=4124&SpecSess=&Session =

(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has any of the
3 following:
4 (i) a folding or telescoping stock;
5 (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes
6 conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;

http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/full...cSess=&Session=

EVERY semi-automatic shotgun sold in the US has an option for a "pistol grip". The bill would outlaw ANY semi with that type of grip or that could have one added to it.

2009 list of firearms and firearms type that the Dumb-O-Crats want banned. This was part of a house bill that failed in 2008. Obama/Clinton/holder back these ideas. This bill would have banned EVERY sporting shotgun, EXCEPT double barrels, over/under and single shots. That INCLUDES pumps and EVERY semi auto loader sold in the US.

Current proposed ban on importation of shotguns that, according to BAFTE do NOT have a "sporting use". PART of the definition of "Not having a sporting use" includes any of ten "features" on an offending shotgun. ONE of those ten features is a pistol grip. That "feature" is available on EVERY shotgun imported or made in the US, either semi or pump.

Here is a link to Benelli USA page. They have pictures of both pump and semi auto shotguns in turkey models. NOTE: EVERY one of the "turkey models" have AT LEAST ONE of the "features" that BATFE wants banned. Keep in mind even if the gun does NOT have a "bad feature" it will STILL be outlawed IF the receiver can be retro-fitted.

As we reported on Jan. 28, May 1 is the deadline for public comments concerning a shotgun importation ban that has been proposed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. A working group within the BATFE has recommended that any shotgun (semi-automatic, pump-action or any other) that has any one of 10 specific features should be banned from importation, on the grounds that such shotguns are not “generally recognized as particularly suitable for a readily adaptable to sporting purposes.”

The features in question are a folding, telescoping, or collapsible stock; a magazine of over five rounds or a drum magazine; a flash suppressor or a muzzle brake that also suppresses flash; an integrated rail system other than on top of the receiver or barrel; a light enhancing device; a forward pistol grip or similar protruding part; an “excessive” weight of over 10 pounds; an “excessive bulk” of over three inches width and/or over four inches depth; a bayonet lug; or “a grenade-launcher mount.”

The working group considers “sporting purposes” to be limited to hunting, skeet, trap and sporting clays, but not to include practical shotgun matches or recreational target shooting. To have considered practical matches, the working group said, could have led to conclusions that would undercut the BATFE’s 1989 and 1998 bans on the importation of semi-automatic rifles, and its 1993 ban on the importation of various semi-automatic pistols. The working group also indicated a reluctance to accept practical matches because they test defensive firearm skills, which the working group believes are of military and police orientation.

Since the law conditions a firearm’s ability to be imported on whether it is “generally recognized” as meeting the law’s sporting purpose test, it is important that the BATFE hear from members of the general public. Particularly relevant will be the comments of people who use shotguns equipped with one or more of the features for hunting or any form of competitive or recreational target shooting, and people who adapt such shotguns to a sporting purpose by simple modifications, such as attaching or removing a flashlight, attaching or removing a forward grip, or installing or removing a magazine extension or magazine plug.

Comments to the BATFE may be submitted by e-mail to [email protected], or by fax to (202) 648-9601, and must be received by May 1, 2011. Faxed comments may not exceed 5 pages. All comments must include name and mailing address.

In case anyone forget, BATFE is part of the Treasury Department, which is under the "Executive Branch" which is headed by the president, which for now, is Obama.
