Shower is down for a few days. We are ripping out all the grouting and re-doing it again. Hopefully this time will be good for a long time. The fancy new high tech stuff worked like crap. So we are putting in the good old regular stuff.

Ok I see the point on information. But it is often hard to distinguish all this different things. What info is important to one driver is not to another.
Basically, anything that's unusual about the load. Or, rather anything dispatch doesn't want to be forthcoming about because they're afraid it'll cause us to not take the load. :D

I can respect forthcoming, even if it's information I don't like.

As to the "Let's Play A Deal" mentality, frankly I don't understand it. We all signed contracts to run for a certain percentage. What's to deal on? If they call me about a load that's got a lot of deadhead (on either end) I might ask what it pays, and if it pays significantly lower than I can run it for, I'll say "Thanks, but no," and leave it at that. My contract doesn't really give the the right to renegotiate that contract on every load. If dispatch wants to offer more money, or find another truck to put it on, that's their call. All I can do is accept or reject what I'm offered.

That's how I look at it, anyway.

Come on now....we all know this has been a tough economy all year...Load1 has been trying to hold the line against cheap freight.
so all you guys that think .90 is way too cheap need to wake up and smell the coffee......0.85- $1.00 is industry average, look around, we are spoiled here at Load 1....Reality check over and out...
Come on now, Mr. Reality Check. It's easy to be holier than thou when you're running a load that pays per mile what your current load pays. I'm just sayin... :D

I put my truck in the garage so I wouldn't have to scrape the snow off it..it's still snowing and I'm baking some cinnamon apples and watching it snow..
