Ok I see the point on information. But it is often hard to distinguish all this different things. What info is important to one driver is not to another.
Basically, anything that's unusual about the load. Or, rather anything dispatch doesn't want to be forthcoming about because they're afraid it'll cause us to not take the load.
I can respect forthcoming, even if it's information I don't like.
As to the "Let's Play A Deal" mentality, frankly I don't understand it. We all signed contracts to run for a certain percentage. What's to deal on? If they call me about a load that's got a lot of deadhead (on either end) I might ask what it pays, and if it pays significantly lower than I can run it for, I'll say "Thanks, but no," and leave it at that. My contract doesn't really give the the right to renegotiate that contract on every load. If dispatch wants to offer more money, or find another truck to put it on, that's their call. All I can do is accept or reject what I'm offered.
That's how I look at it, anyway.
