You definately need to know this, but most definately are going to hate hearing it to.
Shippers and consignees are tightening the screws to us even more. Its started and more and more your going to start hearing.
If its not dock high, we are not going to load/unload your van.
Youve probobly already noticed C, D, and E units being loaded out before you, not to mention youve already noticed far fewer runs.

Not to doubt you but I am wondering what companies are doing this.

When I was in the van, I had one problem with Ford and told them - no problem, I will return the freight. I got unloaded.

There have always been places that require dock high trucks. The nature of the freight we haul makes most of the places we go just glad to see us. They need the freight hauled period. It's expensive to send expedited freight and vans are the cheapest way to send the small loads. If you're looking to blame someone for the scarcity of van loads we just need to blame the automotive slowdown and the huge number of vans available. If I had it all to do over, I'd have kept that old FL70 and endured the aches and pains as it beat my old body into pulp.;)
