Ktvt.com The West Nile Virus outbreak in North Texas is now at 174 human cases reported with 82 of those in the Dallas area and 4 deaths are now reported. Everyone should take precautions to prevent mosquito bites by spraying insect repellant in your home, on yourself, etc avoid areas that have standing water. I saw another report on another station that a public emergency could be declared soon if more cases/deaths are reported. Also note that the state of Mississipi is reporting 11 West Nile cases.

Our town is so small they can actually spray the whole thing....I've inspected my property for any sources of standing water....one example, Old tires...water accumulates in them, perfect breeding ground, dumped what water I could and put 1/4 cups of used oil in them to prevent any nesting...
