King Putz the 1st is HOPING and likely doing ALL he can to get a REAL shootin match going over there, for TWO reasons. ONE, he can get a lot more US soldiers killed and that will be that many he has to contend with as his take over of the country moves ahead. TWO, an external war, a BIG ONE, will help cover up all the "garbage" he is pulling here, like crushing our Constitution and turning us over to the UN if he gets the chance. He is one EVIL DUDE.

Don't believe for ONE SECOND that it would be EASY over there, it won't be. We would be greatly outnumbered in a conventional war. There are the two "wild cards" too, China and Russia.

We should have been out of there in 1954.

We do not need a shooting war in those mountains, they must have millions of tunnels by now.......you know tunnels, Iwo Jima, Nam, places like that....in case u want to know......

Iwo Jima stats ww2
Of the 22,060 Japanese soldiers entrenched on the island, 21,844 died either from fighting or by ritual suicide. Only 216 were captured during the battle. According to the official Navy Department Library website, "The 36-day (Iwo Jima) assault resulted in more than 26,000 American casualties, including 6,800 dead."[25] To put that into context, the 82-day Battle for Okinawa lasted from early April until mid-June 1945 and U.S. (5 Army and 2 Marine Corps Divisions) casualties were over 62,000 of whom over 12,000 were killed or missing ; while the Battle of the Bulge lasted 40 days (16 December 44 – 25 January 45) with almost 90,000 U.S. casualties; 19,000 killed, 47,500 wounded, and 23,000 captured or missing.

Iwo Jima was also the only U.S. Marine battle where the American casualties exceeded the Japanese,[6] although Japanese combat deaths numbered three times as many American deaths.

WE don't need it but Obama does. He WANTS it too. It is not out of the ordinary for fledgling dictators to look for and "outside enemy" to draw attention away from the crap they are doing internally. They often look for "scapegoats" too. Obama has the "Gun Owners" and "veterans" to pick on and blame for everything. THAT stuff is just STARTING, it IS going to get bad.

He is one EVIL DUDE!

Lets put it this way ... it would not be in NK best interest (actually any interest) to fire the first shot !

NK would not mind losing a few million people, fewer for them to feed or find jobs for. A war would lesson the chance of a revolt as well.

It would seem to me, if hostilities did break out, that would increase the chances of an internal revolt.

Nope, the other way around. It gives the downtrodden a visible enemy. The dictator will beat the drum and rally the people to fend off the devils from outside.

I was listening to some retired 4 star generals yesterday....NK has a new young leader....he needs to show the people he is not scared of the west....a lot of this is just window dressing and chest beating at this point....BUT he may make a BIG mistake by doing something foolish...to prove his point...this is where China and Russians will be/should be advising him behind closed doors.....IMO

Just reading BBC Online .....
"The New Jersey Star-Ledger says: "While many buy into the old disarmament-for-food storyline, there's another camp concerned this episode might be different: that Kim, with little more than a year on the job, might actually believe his nation has become a nuclear power."

Thats scary!
Woooo ... yes indeedy ... ver-wee scare-wee ...

Particularly when coupled with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea brave and fearless Navy's sophisticated ability to deliver them nukes within range of the US ...:
