They won't deal with an individual driver--ya have to be signed on with a carrier that has at least 10 to 15 trucks.

Could be----I talked to someone over there and was told that, but it was before Landstar bought them out. Could be a different story now.

I believe there is a couple indepenent members here who are affiliated with NLM since before the Landstar takeover...they may chime in....

I also remember years ago when NLM started they demanded a QC unit as well....they've dropped their standards some to get a better price I think....Also doubling up was a No-No but that has also changed...

I came across a logistics company today out of Chicago called Echo. On their website, it states that they do expedite and that they will deal with individual owner-operators. Ever heard of em?

Actually you become a non-qualified carrier if you have less than 10 or 15 trucks.

I talked to them 4 years ago and just before the announcement of the Landstar take over and it hasn't changed.
