Nissan NV

I couldn't resist the temptation of having a Nissan NV... and I bought one. So far, so good! Much more comfortable than my old E-350, but not too roomy in the back though... well, it takes 2 pallets just like the old one, but there's no space for sleeper...

John, it hauls 3 skids just like a Sprinter. You saying you wouldn't put that truck on? LOL Seriously, do you allow the stock Nissan van into your fleet?

Unless I am looking at it wrong, it looks like it is a bondo creation for the extra length, not factory?

I agree, bondo bucket. I'm asking if you allow stock, unmodified Nissan's in your fleet? I was told you weren't allowing them in because of the short length.

It was probably welded on by a beginner then covered in bondo to cover up their awful work. The problem is their bondo skills are even worse than their welding skills.

Yes, we require 12 feet. We wouldn't take the vehicle in the picture either way. Our units have to pass mechanical and visual inspection levels. Not sure that unit would pass either.

Some carriers have little regard for what the vehicles appearance is. Sadly it does not only reflect upon the company, but it reflects poorly on our industry as a whole.

It could certainly benefit from a coat of paint alright. If I recall correctly the new extended version is adding 20 inches to the length which will be 140" load floor or just under 12' in length. It appears the Nissan is always going to be a 2 skid van unless modified by someone like this. If it is just tacked on like this and the Ford rather than via extended frame and wheelbase like the GM it isn't going to be that great anyway.

Kind of like buying a 48ft trailer and converting it to a 53. Probably makes more sense to buy the right thing out the gate. Probably killed the value of the vehicle and good luck trying to sell it down the road.
