Mr Moot I'll take that bet. I think it's at least 70-30 in favor of regular length. A medium coffee seems like a fair bet?
Yeah, I can live with 70-30. If we ever meet, I'll buy. I typed my reply and then added the "past 5 years" part. It does seem to me that I see more and more extended vans lately.

Diesel would be nice as Nissan doesn't have a good track record with good fuel economy.

problem with a diesel extended would be keeping the gvrw at 10K....the new Sprinters are having a problem with payload....
I'd go with gas..the FSC is calculated on diesel...until some carrier comes up with the bright idea to have separate FSC's...

The Nissan trucks especially the V8's get really terrible gas mileage, compared to Toyota, Ford, Chevy

From what I've seen the Nissan has a very healthy payload on the 1 ton.

Another reason why I hope the Nissan sells well is to give that kick in the pants to Ford and the General.

It wouldn't be stand up tall but I'd be very pleased if my van was even 4-6" taller than it is. Ideally though I want something like the NV but with 144" usable between seatbacks and back doors.

Cool van with some neat ideas but I'd hate to think what it cost. I wonder how long it would take a forklift to wreck the rear step?

I don't care for the front end on them. Not a fan of that low flat hood.

I think my van is about 10.5' and it's a little short. I'd like to have 11.5'-12' to have 2 skids plus enough for crossways sleeping if needed.

US Navy
Ford makes a Van similar to the Sprinter. I passed a pair of them sitting on a low boy trailer. High roof, looked longer then a typical ext van. They were painted Battle ship Grey. The same color as most US Navy vehicles are painted. I have no idea if they were Gas or Diesel.

It is always interesting to see what a vehicle starts out like as a concept vehicle and what it ends up like in production. You can count on Nissan making more changes in the future. I can tell you that your comments are being heard and future options will be available.
