NHL Lockout

Things have gotten out of control in hockey and sports in general. Many NHL teams are losing money. They are killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Just as they start building a fan base people start getting greedy and force a lockout. Baseball took several years to recover from their lockout and that had a much larger fan base than hockey does. They should've just kept playing to keep the fans happy even if it required a temporary contract.

There is a good fan base in areas that love and understand hockey. Like the 'Original Six' cities. One of the problems the league has now is that there are just too many teams in places that just don't understand the game. Maybe they need to let teams that are not making it money wise, fold.

I'd be happy if they got down to twelve teams.
I was thououghly entertained by the original six,and enjoyed watching on free TV as a kid.
Had season tickets in the stadium the last two years and the United Center the first year.
