I'm not sure I understand the point you are trying to make with your post. If I saw a FedEx Custom Critical truck at a landfill or dump, I would presume the truck was on the debris-removal portion of a profitable run.

Debris removal is a service we sometimes offer. On such a load, the items are delivered, typically to an office building, and uncrated. The drivers then remove the debris from the customer's site and properly dispose of it. There is an extra charge for this service. We have done a few runs that involve debris removal. Generally, it is easy money and a service we are happy to provide.

With a Straight truck that would be easy any one can drive a straight truck and they dont haul what a 53 footer hauls. so before you say any more to me on the subject we got rid of over 3000 lbs of debree not a few hundered.
and by the way a little straight truck in a land fill is easy. a Tractor Trailer is quite a difference. On last if 60 bucks for the removal for the truck is profitable think again. I dont know about you but my time is valueable and have to be logged on to remove it. so loss of hours and 20% of 60 bucks hmm 12 bucks. Ya real profitable for the driver isnt it.
Have a safe one.

I drive a real truck too, a 22' straight truck. I tried driving an imaginary one. It was far easier to drive but didn't pay well so I went back to the real one.

Ummm???? Don't think I would even consider taking a straight, van or anything else to a landfill for $60.00

Hey,
At least you can say you were a $60.00 sanitation engineer for a day. It sounds like that is a group all by itself.

Kinda wishin the Fed provided translation services, about now, but here goes:
Don't feel too bad, Iceroadtrucker - we've all done some dum things. Like take a load to Boise, for example.
Just shake off the sand, and keep on truckin.:)

I gotta say, I'm getting better at reading IRT's posts, it takes a bit to decipher, but his style starts to come together after a few months of reading. Lots of people are not great at spelling or grammar, etc., or typing for that matter, but they can still be great people with things to say. I don't think a spell check would always necessarily help their case.
Those who are more literate and computer savvy should try to remember not everyone is the same way.
In any event, sorry to hear about your day IRT, but glad to see you are able to chuckle about it now that it's over :)
PS Often I am able to get what IRT means, but I can't figure out the ack either :) Please enlighten us IRT!
