This is a prim example of having an agenda - then finding the research tools to prove it.
i hope DOT will ignore ATRI all together.
this "statistical research" show nothing of how well (or not) CSA works to reduce crashes.
& ATRI should be ashamed for providing "recommendations" base of the results.
can anyone find ANY connections between the finding of the research to the recommendations ?
ATRI lost MY respect many months ago, this one don't do them any good either.
there are MANY bad things going on with CSA, this is not one of them.

I am happy that they are paying attention to the minor infractions such a runing light not working. Broken running lights for me are the most common reoccuring issue on my truck. Why? Because I hit a lot of low hanging tree branchs that I just can't avoid. It's a real issue for me in the summer.

I think the entire idea of the CSA should be done away with. It was created by desk jockey pencil pushers that have no trucking experiance what's so ever. The idea was flawed from the begining.

If we ever get a real american president I think the first thing he should do is by exectutive order disband the FMCSA, and the DEC. Replace the FMCSA with motor carriers, and the DEC with hunters and real conservationists.

I know too simple.
