The more things change....

Without the composite headlights the grill looks like it came roaring out of the 1930's and 1940's.

For some reason yet revealed to me, I have been thinking about truck farms in Emeryville, CA. What's going on here David?

Well it's aerodymanic I'll give it that. I have always been a fan of aero looking trucks like the volvo 770 or even the KW T2000 but this one will take awhile for me to get use to. It does remind me of the batmobile or one of those newer caddy's can't remember the model # of the top of my head. Wait maybe the cts.. UHH brain just shut down can't remember nothing now, must of overloaded it:D

Within my 59 years upon this earth, I have put many miles on the ole "binders". I drove them at my 33 year job and then have owned them as O/O. Until recently, they have always been a rough tough ugly work truck. I guess they were the last to spiff up the interior for more comfort. Not that looks are comfortable. Ha! But all in all, I had good luck with them except with engine life. They were dependable trucks, but the engines wore out too fast. In 1972, I drove the last gas burner that my company owned before going diesel. It was a 345 CI engine. It went 280,000 miles before replacing it (or trading). I have never owned a DT466 that ran for that long without overhaul. I am sure there are those who have, but I have never. If International would work on their driver comfort, I would be right back in one. BTW---2 of my grandsons said they would drive this new looking "binder". Course, they are 9 and 11. They have a few more years yet.

I don't care for the looks at all but never cared for the cars of the 40's this mimics either. I do like they included some extra lights on it. That can't do anything but help visibility and safety.
