New hours of service

the new hours of service say you must have 10 hours of off duty time
for every 11 hours driving
Now does 10 hours off duty include sleeper berth time? And if so
do they expect me to sleep a straight 10 hours after i've driven
for 11 hours.

It can be any combination of line one and line two, so long as it's not broken by line three or four.

crazy thing about the hos rules, you have to show sraight 10 hours, which can be split between sleeper and off duty as long as they are together, but there is know where that says you have to sleep
if you take a straight 8 hours this will stop the 14 hour clock, but after 8 you must then do another 2 to get your 10 hours.
heres whats nuts, they want you to have 10 hours rest,8 off,ok lets say your sleeping, now you drive,so when you stop again, you put this on line 2,if you cant get enough rest in 5 hours, when we split the bunk,5 and 5,how do you get any rest in 2 hours,of course they do let you use those 2 hours to shower or what ever, but you better not run over your 11 hrs driving, afer that 2 hr break.is this clear,ya just like mud.Oh and one more thing,if your running team, doing government ddps loads, how do you log when 1 driver fuels, and has to leave the site of the truck, and the other driver watches the truck, just something to think about
