New GPS for my father.

Garmin has been ahead of the curve for many years.
The new Garmin Dezl 7" came out this month. GPS City had free shipping.
Haven't seen them anywhere else.
The Garmin 465t has had drastic price cuts in recent months. It's a good Truckers GPS, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles like tracking and recording miles for IFTA.

I want to get it for my father. He is driving for a company - I believe he will not need the bells and whistles. I just want to get something that is accurate as often as possible.

IMO, Garmin is the gold standard. [I don't drive t/t now, but have, and only wish I'd had a GPS then, lol]. Provided it offers truck routing, it is quite accurate and affordable - though I will never go without an actual atlas, and use them together.
If you do a search [particularly in the Tech forum], you'll read other opinions, as well as the reasons why each major brand is liked or disliked.

I'm just started using the Garmin Dezl after my Rand McNally died. So far I am happy with it, the Rand McNally tried to have me turn into low clearances more than a few times.
