Hey DD'S and all with hotspot we seen a new one going up outside of Grand Rapids MI on the NW side where 69 & 96 split and they don't have it listed on their home page yet seems to be about a month or so from opening! Long overdue for that area and Michigan.

Howdy, I haven't heard anything about that Flying J. But thats cool. And by the way 69-96 split is in Lansing not Grand Rapids, is that what u mean't or did u mean the 96/I-96 split in G.R.? Have a good holiday y'all, Andy

I've lived on the NW side of Grand Rapids for the last 30+ years and I'm not aware of any new truck stop in the area, as badly as we need one... However, according to a newsletter I got from Flying J, they ARE building a new one on the NW side of Lansing. I wonder if the area can support 2 truck stops? Windmill has been there forever.

And another, if any of you should ever get near Houston. US-59 @ Tx-242, north of Houston approx 35 miles. Is nearing completion, they say another couple months. P/lot is finished, and some trucks are using it now.

Next time your in a Flying J guys, yoiu should order their salmon filet sandwich, it looks plain(no cheese, or bacon) but it tastes great. Plus its healthier than a burger.
