Having a felony is just one of the many obstacles that face graduates of driving schools. Lack of actual driving experience, poor MVR's, and poor employment history also plague the recent driving school graduate.
Trucking companies are no different than employers in any other type of industry. We want only the best qualified applicants with "little or no baggage". I consider it much easier to "pass" on an applicant than to expose my company to possible liability exposure from negligent hiring.
