It doesn't hurt the company to hire you, but they have no reason to put on drivers if they can't get you freight. Most companies are hiring, some are good for some people and some are bad for some people. Look at the classified section, there's plenty of companies hiring there.

"Does not cost them anything", EH? There may be a number of reasons not apparent to you for your rejection, such as, telephone demeanor, equipment type, location to load from home base, etc. Best you LEARN to work WITH a Carrier that has BOTH yours and their best interests in mind. And, when contacting a very reputable Carrier like the one you did, if the "learning" process takes too long.......I'll suggest your Expediting Career will be either be short or seemingly long......depending on your perspective. Those are my advice/tips!

There are alot of carriers out there rite now that are not putting on sprinters or sprinter drivers cause the market is saturated with them. Barrett that you spoke to is one of the best sprinter carriers out there !!!!!!!

There is a cost to put on drivers?. Do you think the guy that answered the phone works for free? What about orientation, paperwork, installing qaulcom if they use it, insurance, drug tests? When a company adds to many drivers it causes other drivers to leave which also has costs
involved.

It's not uncommon at all for companies not to hire the first couple months of the year because it is a historically slow time.
