New Benefit at Load One -ALK CoPilot/Qualcomm

We are very pleased to announce that Load One will be migrating all of our trucks onto the ALK CoPilot system through our Qualcomms for all of our open board units. This will provide our contractors with turn by turn truck routed directions. You will be able to enter the customer code to simplify entering the address so it will be easy to use. We are doing this with a few goals in mind:

Improved on time performance
Reduced out of route saving our contractors money
Reduction in accidents (a high % occur when trucks are lost)
Provide the driver with a tool that should reduce stress and increase their success
To continue to be ahead of our competition

The ALK-Copilot will be provided at NO COST to our fleet. Load One will be covering the monthly costs. :cool:

Stop in the shop next time you are in the yard to get your activated. It takes about 20-30 minutes of time.

I think I already have it, they changed my keyboard unit a couple weeks ago.It worked flawlessly on a run a few days ago.It was alot different format than the previous keyboard had.

Nice upgrade John. I am guessing it is big truck routing or is there variables that can be set?

Thanks for the added benefit! Now, is this in place of the GPS that some have now? And if so, will those that have the current GPS no loger be billed for it? Or do they run along side each other?

We have been testing it so I think maybe 15 units in the fleet have it. This will replace the maptuit navigo. The ALK product is much faster, reroutes faster and is more friendly according to all the feedback the test drivers gave us. We are not charging for the Navigo as of last week. But we are trying to get those units converted first to the ALK product.

Currently it is only big truck routing and it has HazMat routing. I will give it to even the small units free of charge. They are working on offering the small unit routing, but that will not be till a future software integration release.

Workflow is another AWESOME update. We have been testing and tweaking on a bunch of units and we were going to announce that roll out shortly. That one has to be "pushed" to the truck over the air. It also requires a small amount of training. I think Steve is trying to roll out like 15 to 20 units per week. It seems to have made the whole process MUCH easier than macros so we are pretty excited about this one as well. It will also have no cost to the IC.

Ok thanks I have workflow and have learned it on my own so that speaks to how user friendly it is.

(you were part of scientific beta test group, some were given fake qualcomms and we measured driver acceptance :rolleyes:)

Lol yeah it's very smooth, almost like what shows up on fleetvision as far as the load summary. And the steps are intuitive. It also cleared up my headache and gave me more energy!

Workflow is much easier and much faster than the old macros. More info all in one place.

ALK is much faster, you can see the entire route before you move, preview the entire route, tweak it to avoid tolls, roads, etc. It's the best GPS I've ever used.

That is great!!!! We were hoping these two enhancements would improve the in-cab experience for our drivers, improve a number of metrics and reduce some hassle, cut O/O costs and save them money.

ALK has several layers that don't readily show up like giving you your fuel costs for the route. Several other options. I'll be glad to play instructor for anyone that needs it.
