im thinking of getting own van.i have two options.first 2008 chevy 2500 with 18000 miles o down this one is gas .next 2006 e350 ford 500 down 74000 miles diesel.which one would be better.and next whats the start up costs.for getting started.insurance that i will need, company requirments ,etc.and last of all which company is best for cargo vans.all input is welcomed thanks and happy trucking
I think the engine and the weight restriction would make the Chevy 2500 less attractive. Does it have the 4.8? Most here would recommend the 1 ton 3500, I may be wrong but and I am sure someone will correct me but I believe the 2500 has the lighter duty axles etc.
The Ford is a good choice depending on which Diesel it has, not sure when they changed from the 7.3, I am sure more than a few will chime in.
Next, do some research here and read all the newbie paradise post that pertain to you, a miniumum of one year back more would be better.
Lastly there is no one best company to put your van on with, it takes research talking to other drivers and talking to recruiters to decide what fits for you.
