NC Ice Storm

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the weather service is calling for an Ice Storm in NC around the I-40 corridor from 6pm EST today (12/24/2009) until Noon Friday Christmas Day:

"Ice accumulations of 1/4 to 1/2 inch are possible, with the highest amounts generally north of the Interstate 40 corridor".

Be careful in S.E. Michigan as well. They are calling for ice starting around mid-night and ended mid-morning. Little accumulation. Temps will rise above freezing in the morning, all rain on Christmas day.

Greetings from the great white north! Hope y'all are enjoying the winter weather we asked the great Manitou to send to y'all so you could really get into the seasons spirit. This also has a side benefit of making sure y'all learn how to handle your buggies in ice, snow, slush and other wonders of winter driving so when y'all visit up here you're all trained up!
So here's wishing y'all a merry christmas and happy holidays and remember to wear gloves when working on the buggies so no frozen fingers. Hey also remember no licking any metal parts or fences etc (well ok do this as I love the laugh).
