MOTHER's DAY

What are you doing for your mom for MOTHER's DAY? I got my mom a case of her favorite celestial vanilla maple tea (yuckie) which I'll be delivering in person. I always send her a bouquet of flowers and a card, which I'll do again this year so that she doesn't get suspicious, but the big surprise for her will be me showing up there in person. My mom lives several hours from me, and I'm not able to get there to visit very much.

I will be sending my Mom her usual Mother's Day card (you know those sappy kind, that make her cry) with a check in it. Since she lives on a fixed income, she could use the extra cash.

Flowers are out of the question since we got yelled at the one year for buying flowers - I think 7 of the 9 kids bought flowers that year and it really upset our Mom. Won't do that again!

My mother lived several hours from me and I never had the money or time it seemed and then she unexpectedly died after finding out she was terminal. Took 3 wks of HELL for her to pass to a better place. I wish I would have just drove to see her anyway and miss her more than anything. Happy Mothers Day MoM, I Love You!!

That is so very sad! You are so right, we all get tied up in our own little worlds and forget about the truly important things in life. I lost my dad in 92 and still miss him so terribly!

The three things I fear most in life is losing my child, my husband, or my mom! I love them so very much! There is nothing more important than our loved ones!
